Spiritual Formation

“We often say, “I am not very happy. I am not content with the way my life is going. I am not really joyful or peaceful. But I don’t know how things can be different, and I guess I have to be realistic and accept my life as it is.” It is this mood of resignation that prevents us from actively naming our reality, articulating our experience, and moving more deeply into the life of the Spirit.
― Henri J.M. Nouwen, Spiritual Formation: Following the Movements of the Spirit

How do people grow into maturity in Christ? Into depth, discipleship, and making disciples? Spiritual Formation at The Well sets out to give ancient answers to those questions straight from the Scripture. Every environment is prayerfully designed to support spiritual growth and fruit of the Spirit of God in each man and woman.

You can jump in at any point on the Spiritual Formation pathway. We invite you along for the adventure with God and one another.

The_Well_Baptism_FC

Baptism reflects the life of one who is already saved and is being obedient to publicly confess (profess) their salvation in Christ before the watching Church and community. (Matthew 28:19-20). Are you or your children are ready to be baptized?

The_Well_Groups_FC
GROUPS AT THE WELL EXIST TO DEVELOP COMMUNITY WITH GOD AND ONE ANOTHER.

Groups are home base for transformation and spiritual formation in our church. They meet on various days of the week in the homes of our members and are coached by our Deacon team. Expect Acts 2 realities in a group: prayer, scripture, fellowship, sharing of meals and what we have in common because of Jesus Christ. The Bible passage preached each Sunday is our curriculum and the one another commands of the New Testament are what we practice and pray.

PRAYER
The_Well_Prayer_FC

Elder led prayer is a monthly time that we set aside to pray, praise, and practice the presence of God. We are learning to do all of life and ministry through prayer. When we come together as a body at 5pm on the first Sunday of each month we seek to do that very thing. We pray together. We bear each other’s burdens, we pray for our church, we pray for our city and we pray for our world.  These meetings are a rich time of fellowship with God and one another.  Come and rediscover with us the gift and the joy of a praying community.

Coming Soon. The Well created Foundations to help you discover the heart of what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. It will be three 9-session modules useful for sharing the gospel, discipling one-on-one, using in small groups, and learning about God’s calling on your life and how to walk that out. You can expect the first module in a series of short teaching videos along with a workbook available here this Fall.
